Hi, my name is Cédric, I come from Belgium and moved to Japan in 2017. I got introduced to specialty coffee during my life in Tokyo but now I live in Chigasaki, and I am proud to be part of its growing community.
Since I started working from home back in 2019, my coffee consumption increased drastically and I couldn’t get my favorite coffees as easily as before, so I decided to roast on my own.
As I learned more about coffee roasting, it became a full-time hobby as I was experimenting with things, trying to get the best coffee within the limit of my tools. It was a new passion that I found very rewarding and fulfilling.
Later, I noticed that many friends and people shared the same feeling: There is no good coffee in Chigasaki! At least nothing like the Tokyo scene… So I decided to get a professional machine and open a side-business to offer specialty coffee, sharing with others my enthusiasm for beautiful coffees and what makes this beverage unique in the world.
It was a long process to learn on a real drum roaster and there are still many things to discover, but now I am confident that I can offer coffees that is as good as the shops in Tokyo, if not better.
In the future I hope to be able to make a living from coffee roasting and do this full-time. I appreciate everyone buying my coffee and joining me in this adventure.
